Alright, we actually went a couple of weeks ago, but with school and work I keep forgetting to update my cool blog. And then I go to browse all ya'alls blogs, and I remember that... maybe I should update mine. Good Idea Jeannine.
According to the title, you guessed it, I spent the weekend in Portland. And believe me... SOOOOO coool. This is how it happened.. So, you all know that I ALWAYS work weekends. Unless of course I have cool army for the weekend. And that's still not really a day off, clearly.
Anyway, so I get to work and I noticed that my next weekend free is next week. I have nothing planned! What!! I run home... call Shauna, "I have next weekend off" she says... "Lets go to Portland!" So we did.
It was perfect weather... No rain, just sunshine and a little windage. Perfect for a comfy scarf and hat.
Oh, and the cool Saturday Market, big fun!! There was the coolest things to see!! Street performers were playing music and dancing! We stared at them... then clapped. Didn't donate money though. Eee... BUT, I did by a necklace from 2nd avenue, which donates some of the profits to a good cause.
It was so much fun! We took the Max from the airport, got to our hotel, then headed out for the city. I loved every minute of it!! I think that's my second half. I'd move there if my family wasn't here.
We met this really nice guy who showed us where to meet the "locals". What a stud. I swear, it's always sketchy to meet people and believe them when they say things. It's too bad, not being able to trust strangers, I'd be a good stranger to meet. I'd tell them all the ins and outs!
Then we found this really yummy and cute cupcake shop. They had the coolest most pretty cupcakes... and they were sooo yummy! If you look carefully you can see some in the picture above.
P.S. we might go there for New Years!! Be jealous I'm single... Cuz... (it sucks not being married when eveyone else is!) Suckas!!!
